Festive Ootd

Hi guys! I hope you’re all doing well.
With the festive season upon us, I decided to share with you my go-to outfit for a pooja.
As much as I love wearing fancy ethnic wear, I prefer to reach out for them on the bigger festivals and opt for a light- weight kurti on days when I don’t want to put in a lot of effort into getting ready but still want to add a festive vibe to my look.

(Kurti- Borrowed from mom, Chudidhar - Biba, Dupatta - Jaipur, Shoes - Commercial Street)

In my opinion, white on white never goes out of fashion which is why I choose a white kurti with little meena work on it with a pair of white chudidhaar for this post. I tagged along a blue and orange bandhani duppata that I’ve been currently loving because of its ombre effect.
Paper quilling is an activity that my mother and I enjoy quite a lot, and the earrings in this post are made by us. They add a bit of colour and their size makes up for the lack of accessories in this outfit. I went with flats as I wanted to feel comfortable and was going for a very simple look.
With some pink sparkle on the eyelids and a nude lip I was ready to celebrate the festival with my family.
I’ve been working on some more festive posts and plan on posting them up until Diwali.

Until next time,

Niyati Mathur

The Perfect Pair

06:14 Unknown 0 Comments

If you follow me on instagram ( username-niyatimathur if you don't), you’ll know that a couple of days ago I was on the hunt to find a pair of palazzo pants and I’m mighty pleased with the one I’ve found. Its breezy, the colour is beautiful and it has pockets on both sides! So its safe to say that it’s the perfect pair.

For the past couple of days it hasn’t been the slightest bit autumnal here in Bangalore so keeping the weather in mind, I figured that it’s the perfect time to feature my palazzo on the blog.
I was quite skeptical about pairing it with a similar material at first as I thought that it would look too OTT but I quite liked the end result. A pair of matching shoes, a bracelet and a pop of pink on the lip later I was ready to head out.

Since I was feeling experimental with this outfit I went all out and wore a bandeau under my top rather than the usual tank top that I pair it with.
It’s definitely not my usual style but I think I will be willing to sport it occasionally from now on.
On that note, I ‘ll leave you with the pictures now and promise to see you with another post soon.

Until next time,

Niyati Mathur

Bear Hugs

Hi guys! It’s October, which means that autumn has officially begun!
All the leaves are brown, it’s the perfect time to sip on some spiced pumpkin latte and Halloween is just around the corner.

This change in the weather calls for a change in clothing.
In this post, I am sharing with you one of my looks for autumn featuring a high-low sweater that has already earned a special place in my closet (and in my heart) and is going to be a staple for me this season.
Its material reminded me of teddy bears and is honestly the softest and coziest thing I’ve ever come across.

As the sweater was the highlight of the outfit I paired it with leggings and golden shoes keeping the accessories and make up to a minimum. Keeping my hair messy helped me achieve that rustic look I was going for.

Until next time,

Niyati Mathur
