A Colourful Affair

Hi guys!

Summer time has always been vacation time with my family for as long as I can remember. This summer I went on a vacation to Rajasthan with my parents, but you probably knew that already due to all my pictures and statuses that were popping up on your newsfeed on Facebook and Instagram every now and then.

Vest - Rajasthan Emporium( Rajasthali), Top - Zara, Shoes - A lane outside Shonar Kila, Sunglasses - Fast Track, Ring - Claires

Whenever I visit a new place, I always find my self, attracted to things that are exclusive to that place and aren’t easily available everywhere else. Amongst other things, Rajasthan is known for its traditional hand made textile products.
Being the clothing narcissist that I am, I bought myself this beautiful vest that instantly caught my attention because of its bright colours and intricate embroidery work. I figured that this vest would come in handy on days when I would want to add some colour to my outfit. I also love the fact that it will always allow me to get away with minimal accessories, by being the highlight of my attire.

As for the shoes, they were bought out of sheer necessity as the ones that I was wearing broke while I was site seeing. They are hand made as well and have gold detailing on them and they are quite comfortable too.

Let me know if you own any similar pieces and how you style them.

Until next time,
Niyati Mathur

Kimono lovin'

01:24 Unknown 0 Comments

Hi guys!
A few days ago I shared my blog with you guys and I'm so overwhelmed with the support and encouragement that I've been getting from all of you. I've been getting so many messages from friends and family, telling me that they really like my blog and that has made me so happy and also feel silly for living in a cloud of self doubt for so long. Thank you all so much!

Top and pants - Zara, kimono - Max, Bag - Lifestyle, Shoes - Stilettos(Delhi), Sunglass - Brigade Road, Ring - Delhi

Coming to the post, I've been on the lookout for a kimono for a while now, and I finally got my hands on this on! I absolutely love the idea of kimonos. I love how they keep can keep you slightly warm in places where the AC is pretty strong and are perfect for summer as they are quite airy as well.
A kimono is the first thing I opt for these days if I'm wearing a tank top just to cover up a little especially if I'm travelling by public transport because if something happens to us, it's obviously because of what we were wearing ( yes.sarcasm.)
The best part about it is that it's colourful pattern allows me to get away with minimal or no accessories.
Let me know what you think about my look.
Until next time,
Niyati Mathur

For the love of Disney!

Hi guys!
I know I’m super late with this post, I could give you a lot of reasons for the delay, but I’m going to be completely honest and let you guys know that laziness got the best of me.
The look I wanted to share with you all in this post includes a crop top. I know they’ve been around for a while now, but I’ve hopped onto the crop top bandwagon quite recently and I assure you that I’m not getting off it anytime soon. I think they are one of those pieces in your closet that can be easily paired with anything, whether it’s high-waisted pants, palazzos, skirts or shorts.

On one of my shopping trips, I came across this crop top and instantly fell in love with it. As some of you may know, I am a huge fan of Disney and whenever I see anything Disney related I feel compelled to have it in my life, and the case with this crop top was no different.  I’ve been wearing it quite a lot, as you might have seen on my Instagram and it was bound to make its way to my blog.

(Crop Top and Heels - Lifestyle, Skirt - Max, Earrings - Accessorize)

I wanted to keep this look simple, so I opted for a knee length skirt with the crop top being the highlight of my outfit. A pair of black heels, long earrings and a chunky ring was all I need to complete the look.

let me know what you think about this look.

until next time,
Niyati Mathur
