Goodbye 2015!

Hi guys! Hope you’re all doing well.
If you follow me on my social media then you’ll know that I’m in Jaipur right now, and with New Years Eve tomorrow I’ve been missing all my friends back home and had been wondering what outfit I would’ve worn to the party we’d go to.

(Dress & Shoes-Lifestyle,
Shrug & Necklace-Gifts)

2015 has been a year where I’ve developed a new found love for maxi dresses and statement jewellery. So I decided to put them together in one ensemble and also incorporate my old love for shimmer into it.
I love how the slits on either sides of the dress, makes it look edgy despite its simplicity. Since jackets require a lot of hustle I decided to stick with a shrug instead and chose a statement neckpiece and a pair of black heels to complete the look.
As always, let me know what you think about my outfit in the comments. I hope 2016 brings you’ll a lot of happiness and success and I’ll see you’ll next year.
Until next time,

Niyati Mathur

Birthday Blog

06:36 Unknown 0 Comments

Hi guys! Long time! How’ve you’ll been?
When I first started blogging I was very apprehensive of the response it would get and for the longest time very few people knew about it. It took me a while to convince myself to share it with everybody but I’m so glad that I did because what started out as a hobby has turned into so much more mainly because the most important thing that motivates me to continue is the love and support I receive from all of you. And as my blog turns one today, I’d like to thank you’ll for being the most lovely readers ever!

Now that I’m done with being my usual emo self, lets move on to the post. I’ve put together some of my all time favorite things into this one outfit.
Now that its finally cold enough for leather jackets I’ve fallen in love with mine all over again these days along with these gold metallic shoes that I just cant seem to get enough of. My obsession with Disney is probably not a surprise to most of you anymore and a classic red lip is always in vogue.

 Until next time,

In Chains

Hi everybody!
Hope your Diwali went well. Mine consisted of fun with friends and family, yummy food, firecrackers and a lot of selfies.

I’m sure you know that I’m not big on accessorizing, but dainty pieces are right up my ally.
A couple of days ago I spotted this body chain in Claire’s and I instantly fell in love with it.
I could think of multiple ways of styling it even before I picked it up from the shelf it was on. Since I’ve never had a connection with a piece of jewelry like this before I decided to style it for a post on the blog.
From personal experience I’ve come to realize that body chains are capable of attracting all the attention to them. I wore it to the mall a couple of days ago and noticed quite a few heads turning my way to have a second look at it.
The look in this post is just one of the many ways in which I style my body chain. I chose one of my favorite colour contrast of black and gold and the gold shoes brought the whole look together.
 Until next time,
Niyati Mathur

Lamps & Sparkles

Hi guys! I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend.
I’ve been itching to share this post with you ever since I shot for it and I’m so excited to finally post it on the blog.
With Diwali just a couple of days away, I figured now would be the perfect time for this gorgeous lehenga to get the love it deserves.

I got this tailor made lehenga a couple of months ago from Delhi and haven’t truly gotten a chance to wear it up until quite recently.
The thing I love most about it is its colour contrast, its not too subtle yet not too OTT either. The patti work on the blouse and the golden border adds a little something to the outfit without going overboard. Since it is super lightweight, it’s also a very comfortable outfit option for long functions such as weddings.
I styled my lehenga with a pair of kundan work earrings, a hand harness that I just cannot get over and a pair of golden heels.
I hope you guys have a very happy and safe Diwali and I’ll see you’ll super soon with another post.
Until next time,
Niyati Mathur

Festive Ootd

06:48 Unknown 0 Comments

Hi guys! I hope you’re all doing well.
With the festive season upon us, I decided to share with you my go-to outfit for a pooja.
As much as I love wearing fancy ethnic wear, I prefer to reach out for them on the bigger festivals and opt for a light- weight kurti on days when I don’t want to put in a lot of effort into getting ready but still want to add a festive vibe to my look.

(Kurti- Borrowed from mom, Chudidhar - Biba, Dupatta - Jaipur, Shoes - Commercial Street)

In my opinion, white on white never goes out of fashion which is why I choose a white kurti with little meena work on it with a pair of white chudidhaar for this post. I tagged along a blue and orange bandhani duppata that I’ve been currently loving because of its ombre effect.
Paper quilling is an activity that my mother and I enjoy quite a lot, and the earrings in this post are made by us. They add a bit of colour and their size makes up for the lack of accessories in this outfit. I went with flats as I wanted to feel comfortable and was going for a very simple look.
With some pink sparkle on the eyelids and a nude lip I was ready to celebrate the festival with my family.
I’ve been working on some more festive posts and plan on posting them up until Diwali.

Until next time,

Niyati Mathur
